If you are in a hurry, don’t go to the gym. If you have to, do it. If you have to ask someone to take you to the gym, do it. That’s the problem, it’s self-imposed.
Its not like there’s a workout that’s “bad” or something. But for some reason, just being in a hurry is enough to make you want to get a workout. I believe it has to do with the fact that it’s not a real workout, like working out at the gym, so it’s not a “hurry”, but some other such thing. I wish I could go to the gym just to get a quick workout.
Now theres another thing that makes it difficult to exercise. Getting your heart rate up and blood flowing through your hands and fingers. Getting a warm up. Getting a workout. And of course that’s all before you’ve had a chance to eat a meal. So its not like you can just exercise to avoid all the above. Its all of that stuff together. You have to go through it all before you’re actually in the mood to exercise.
In a nutshell, that’s exactly what dieting is about. When you eat and exercise all at the same time, it’s all in your head. It’s a good thing though, because it’s a lot more fun than exercise.
I get it. But I still feel like you could just eat a meal and have a good workout, even if it was just a calorie-controlled meal (especially since many of us are trying to eat to live).
My advice to people who want to lose weight is to eat a balanced diet. Eating something high in carbs, not enough protein, and eating a lot of fat is a sure fire way to make you gain weight. You could also just try to eat all of our recommended foods, but to be honest, I feel like there are too many people who would just eat all of these foods in a heartbeat, regardless of what they think theyll gain.
Yeah, the fact is that if you eat a high carb diet, you’ll probably gain weight. Why? Because carbs, also known as sugar are the primary source of a whole bunch of weight-loss-promoting hormones, like insulin and leptin. The more sugar you eat, the more you’ll gain weight.
That’s why you’ll also gain weight if you smoke, cheat on your diet, or drink alcohol. It’s the same reason why you’ll gain weight when you drink coffee or soda, because the carbonation in both is more calories than you’ll burn in one sitting (which is probably a good thing). You know what else happens when you drink coffee or soda? I don’t know what though. And you know what else happens when you smoke? You’ll also gain weight.
Not only does smoking kill you faster than any other substance, but it also increases your body’s ability to store fat. So if you smoke cigarettes (and if you are a smoker you should quit), you will probably gain weight. If you smoke and cheat on your diet, you will also gain weight. And if you smoke and drink alcohol, you will also gain weight. There is no “right” weight for any of these things.
The good news is that if you smoke and you try to quit and fail, that doesn’t matter because you are still going to gain weight. The bad news is that if you smoke and you quit, you will gain weight. So if you smoke and you don’t try to quit and fail, you are still going to gain weight.
