Well, it’s kind of a good thing that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us. Whereas a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, “Hmm… every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas.
As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he is on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.

The game centers around two parties, the Visionaries and the survivors from the island. It may give you the impression that you were involved with the other party, but you’re not. You were either on the other party or you were running off to the party with the Visionaries to save the day. The Visionaries are the main villain, but the survivors are the heroes.
Blackreef is one of the most iconic cities in gaming history. It was the first place I knew all about the game and it has been the main setting of several of my games. The new trailer gives us a more in-depth look at how the city works and the Visionaries. The trailer doesn’t give us much information about how the Visionaries work, but it does show off the city’s many buildings.
What makes the trailer stand out is the inclusion of a skateboard. The Visionaries have an entire city devoted to skateboarding, which makes the trailer feel both more real and more like a game. The Visionaries are a race of super intelligent killers known as Visionaries. Their goal is to defeat the heroes and take over the world. However, the Visionaries have a habit of leaving the heroes to handle everything on their own.
