“W weeks motors” is a term that is coined by one of our clients. She is a single mom who works full-time and has decided to take a part-time job to help support herself and her family. This is an unusual decision that she is making, but one she feels is in the best interest of her family. The purpose of the job is to help her gain a better appreciation for her surroundings and to better understand and relate to people around her.

After starting a new job, this client found that she had to do a lot of explaining to her coworkers about why she was moving from a place where she spent most of her day to a place where she spent most of her day. This also caused her to become more aware of her surroundings and how she interacts with people in her daily life.
It was the same for our client. Her new job is to go to different locations all day long and to do various tasks that her coworkers are unaware of. It’s no wonder that she is so excited to be moving to a new place full of people who aren’t her coworkers. As a result, she is developing an appreciation of this new place on a daily basis.
As the client’s new job progresses, she’s finding it more and more like the everyday person she is. Instead of having to go to a place where she spent most of her day, she’s spending more and more time in these new places where she is not the center of her life. This change in perspective is something that is already a habit on her part.
She makes a conscious effort to try to get to know the people in her new place a little bit better, because she knows that it probably won’t be long before she’s in a place she’s not at all familiar with. She’s starting to feel like she’s a bit of a voyeur, as she tries to get to know the people around her, and she’s not the only one to feel this way.
She realizes that shes not always looking for the newest, hottest thing on the block, that there’s often lots of places that she can go without really knowing what shes going to get. She can get a little lost in the crowd around her, she can forget that the person she’s looking for is actually a stranger, or she can just get stuck in a place where there’s lots of people and she doesn’t know anyone.
I could go on and on, but the truth is, everyone is always looking for something. So much so that we have to remind ourselves of this fact. It can be quite frustrating when you’re out looking for someone and your fingers are just itching to pull out that camera and snap a picture of the face you’re hoping to make next.
I’ve heard and seen this sort of thing several times before when I’d be walking down the street and someone would be walking their dog and, without thinking, I’d snap a picture of the puppy. It’s not that I didn’t think they were a good looking puppy, it was more the fact that I was feeling lazy and wanted to get the camera out so I wouldnt go looking for the face I was hoping to make.
